The Core Four Economists

There were four economists who thought through building a technology cycle model for economists. This is the jumping off point for the technology cycle economist biographies for the core four. Please not there are errors on Wikipedia’s website but it can give you a general sense for Kondratiev, Schumpeter, Freeman and even Perez. The economist who built the “useful” model is Carlota Perez.

The book is difficult to source therefore it is recommended that beyond what has been written on this site that you review a memorial site written for Freeman after he had passed away. The website is: https://freemanchris.org/ The site is quite unique in that both his family and his academic colleagues wrote incredibly personal reminiscences and tributes about Christopher Freeman. On the publications page there is an enormous list of many of the publications Freeman wrote or collaborated on.
